These pictures are of the LabNEXT makerspace in the Taylor Family Digital Library at the University of Calgary, which I visited 02 February 2018.
According to my guide, the space was created in November 2017, and is funded by the University of Calgary Library.
As there are student-accessible workshops in the Art Department, the Faculty of Environmental Design, and various Engineering departments, there is no intent of expanding into all areas of making. They are thinking of setting up a sewing program.
